Thanks for sharing your views Kerry.  Surgery is a difficult issue but I would hope that techniques have improved over the years and the younger generation of today do feel happier with the genital reconstruction performed on them in infancy.  I am glad you feel this way!  Not everyone has been so lucky though, hence the differing views as an unsatisfactory/painful sex life, due to barbaric surgery which was performed in the past; (ie clitorectomy) is bound to have a devastating affect on quality of life.  As I see it Betsy (and others like her) are just trying to warn others of the dangers and ensure they are fully informed.
