re: Need help with diagnosis

Hi Kat,

I donít know if I have any advice for you, but I can share some of my story.  But first, has your daughter been tested for glandular fever?  Itís really common in teens, and makes you very very tired, and it can last for months and months, and flare up again aswell.  Iím sure I had it as a teen (my blood tests last year said that I have *had* it).  Also, I have *always* had really scanty periods, sometimes regular, and sometimes quite irregular.  My cycle now ranges from 30-40 days usually.  I was diagnosed with LOCAH a couple of years ago, I have really mild hirusuitism (no one would know), polycystic ovaries but not enlarged, sometimes irregular periods!, sometimes ovarian pain, and I have bouts of extreme exhaustion, Iím reasonable slim (I have two children!) but tend to carry weight around my middle (apple shape), Iíve never had acne problems and I didnít start puberty that early either, ahh - but I am very short in stature.

I think I mentioned in an earlier post, that itís really hard to íboxí a condition...  push for the test if you want it - put your foot down, this is *your* daughter, not anyone elseís... theyíre providing you with a service.

I hope you find the answers you need.

PS:  I wouldnít worry about scanty periods if her uterine lining looks ok, itís a good thing in my books.
