I have been on prednisone since I was 14. Now I’m 30 and I am happy I went on it even though there are some side effects with steroids. Because the longer you hold off on treatment it may lead to infertility.So I’ve heard. I had early puberty as a child and was diagnosed with locah but Mary don’t assume you have pcos, locah or cah until you get your results since all of these conditions have similar symptoms. I was very, very hairy as a teenager had regular periods and I have locah but not pcos. Everyone is different. A lot of the times when you take the steroid treatment the hair falls out and is less corse. Also, if you don’t take care of your adrenal glands if it is an adrenal issue you could possibly have far worse problems. I would listen to the doctor if I were you and not just the people on this site since they are not certified medical professionals and do not know your exact diagnoses. Also, don’t be afraid to get a second opinion it can’t hurt.
