Good job on the board, this is very informative. Has anyone out there, either you or someone else, put together a written report detailing these CAH stories to encourage other states to add CAH to their newborn screen? If no one has, I'd like to. I'm in Colorado and they are adding the test April 2000. Interestingly, the head of the health dept. had not talked to a single CAH parent and thought it would be highly effective for other states. The cost for one year is estimated at $100,000 for CO. I didn't realize the large number of newborn boys who don't make it. Their poor parents, not knowing what happened. Thanks.
