I don't get uptight before our visits because we have been very lucky with our son so far. He is 4ys old and just recenly had his first crisis at home over a weekend. We spoke with the attending fellow at the Children's hospital we go to and all went very well at home. I have an older daughter who is 6 and non-CAH. I seldom get time alone with my son as a result, so I try to make our visits to Boston a "special time" for the two of us. This last visit in March was the most stressful for him because he became very nervous about his bloodwork, but other than that we have always enjoyed our visits. We have a wonderful endo so it's nice to see her. She has a great repor with my son and he too loves her. The only fear I have with each visit is that she will tell us that she is leaving and we will be getting a new endo. My son has had her since he was 4days old. They have really developed a very nice bond. I really believe this has helped with the enjoyment of our visits.
