So far both our Ped Endo and the Urologist act like surgery is not a pressing matter. When she was first born it looked as if Ginny had some ambiguous genitalia, but by the time the urologist looked at it it looked more or less normal other than the labia being fused. The opinion of both the doctors was that there is really no immediate reason for surgery and wouldn't be until she reached maturity. Since there's no telling how much more advanced surgical procedures will be in 17 or so years, they felt it would be wiser to wait. It sounded very logical to me.
