I would suggest putting the bracelet on the wrist. It may not be seen by medical personel on the ankle. It can be covered by socks, clothing etc... I contacted MedicAlert and they can take an order over the phone with a credit card or they can send you an application. It is $35 to start, then $15 a year. If there is a low income situation they can cover the cost for you. I also suggest putting the bracelet on the sooner the better! They get used to it easier.
