When we give Cortef to our CAH kids, we are replacing what they don't produce in their bodies. Those side effects apply to someone non-CAH that is taking corticosteroids as a treatment for some inflammatory condition such as asthma, allergic reaction, chronic pain, etc. They already make cortisone in their bodies and are getting extra. Our kids are not. I think the prenatal treatment has alot to do with it.
