Susan, I hope it wasn't all for nothing. I for one, very much appreciate what you & other CAH patients have been through. After all, we wouldn't know what we know today if it weren't for all of you. I think (I hope) our children are treated with more respect today. My mother, who was born in 1941, had epilepsy - back then she, too, was treated like a 'freak', although probably not to the extent that you were. She got cancer & died in 1989 from a dye used in tests back in 1950-51 for her epilepsy. My whole family takes comfort in the fact that they wouldn't know what they do today if it weren't for what she and many others went through. It is hardest for my grandfather, he was the one who approved the tests. I hope that in todays day & age, you are recieving proper care & respect. Again, thank you for all you've been through.
