My 14 year old daughter has been wearing a medic alert bracelet for years. Recently, while playing sports on a school team, she was asked by the referee to take it off or not play. When I picked her up after the game, she was clutching it in her hand, and said her coach gave it to one of her team mates to hold onto it. One suggestion from someone at Medic Alert in the Canadian office was to wear it on her ankle. I have concerns because I don't believe medical staff would check the ankle. Has anyone else had problems with their child being asked to take the Medic Alert bracelet off for a sports activity such as basketball.Peg
