My 10 year old daughter plays softball and we have also been asked to remove the bracelet before games. This year a few of the umpires have stated, before the games, that this is the only jewelry allowed (have you ever looked at all the gold our major league players wear? ha). Also, my daughter now wears hers on her ankle and our endo had no problems with it. I think I will check with my neighbor, who is a policewoman, and have her see how our local EMT's feel about it.
