New to board and I have a question.

I have a 4-year-old who was born extremely premature and had an enlarged clitoris right from birth. Since this is normal for many preemies we didn't think much about it. By about a year of age it was still very prominent and I noted that when she urinated with her diaper off the urine seemed to shoot far away, more like a boy. After being examined by four physicians at the doctor's office, her urethra could not be located. We saw a pediatric endocrinologist who said it looked like she could have CAD (she couldn't find the urethra either). We did some blood work but it all came back normal and they said she does not have CAH. The next stop was the pediatric urologist who finally found the urethra just a tiny bit above the vagina, almost to the point of being in the vagina. He said as long as she didn't have any problems we should do nothing. Now at 4 she complains if I pick her up and her clothes pull tight in her crotch or if I put her on my hip. She says "my pee pee hurts." I am wondering if the prominent clitoris is causing her pain and if so, is there any kind of surgery that they do for this? We have an appointment in two weeks for her check up and I will ask the doctor, but I'm just wondering if they DO correct these things surgically? Thanks in advance.
