Hi Holly : ) I am also new here - wasn't aware there were any chat forums on CAH - SO happy I ran across this place! Rickie was identified as having CAH back when he was 7.5 months old and cannot retain salt without taking Flourinef (so I'm assuming that this is what everyone is calling salt-wasting?) We had a wonderful doctor for the first 11 years of his life who would listen to our concerns and respond by trying out different things. Rickie was very close to where he was supposed to be up to the point when his doctor moved on and the head of the department took over. Since then we have been having trouble communicating our concerns as they are all brushed off and my son has zoomed ahead physically by over a year in age. I'm sure CAH has not been studied enough to know all the causes and effects. Headaches must be a link to undermedication as I'm sure there are other signs, but at 13 years old i feel awkward asking my son about the other signs ;)
