Re: Son with CAH

Hi again Holly :) I told you a bit before about my son who was found to have CAH (salt wasting) 7.5 months old. He baffled the medical community around Boston for years before they gave up trying to figure out how he could have survived so long without a major crisis because to all they know, CAH is inherited. I sumitted to a bloodtest so they could determine what may have happened, but as my son's father took off before he was a month old we didn't have the other half of the picture. I never did recieve any replies as to how the bloodwork from me turned out. What I found interesting is that I had been on a medication to control my asmatha years before aI had my son which I recall reading the medical insert (lord knows why - bordom perhaps :) There was written a warning on the medication that overuse of the meds could cause adrenal hyperplasia. I now forget the medication name but Rickie's symptoms didn't show up until months after I had discontinued breastfeeding him. In out case 2+2 are not adding up properly.
