I don't know where you guys live but we had a very similar scenario two weeks ago. Our daughter started vomitting at midnight and did so every twenty minutes or so until roughly 5am. I was extremely chicken to give the injection so I kept giving her her meds after three bouts. I know I was very bad but she's three and I hadn't needed to do it yet and I was petrified) Well I ended up having my MOM come over to do it (she's a ped nurse, thank GOD) Within two hours she was much much better. I talked with our endo and ped, she was seen, and we all survived unscathed. Our endo said sometimes a triple dose may not be enough so the injection is the only way to be sure. I'm glad that is over. I did have one question... we recently brought her in for sutures and I doubled her dose for safety' sake I was wondering if that was necessary? It totally freaked her out so I'm thinking it was a good call.......
