Hi everyone We have a three week baby boy who was diagnosed on Monday with CAH. This has come as a bit of a shock to me and my wife as we thought he just had an upset stomach. Having never heard of this condition before, I am now in a desperate rush to try and obtain as much information about the illness as possible. My baby son 'Lewis' has the salt wasting type and has been on a drip feed for the last 24 hours to raise his salt levels. This morning they took him off the drip and seem very happy that all his blood checks are coming back ok. This may seem very normal to you all but it is hard for me to understand how one day you can be told that your child has what could have been a fatal illness and the next day he appears to be totally healthy (provided he keeps taking the medicine). I also have a two year old boy who has shown no signs of any illness. Do you think I should have him checked out, because the doctors seem to think that this is unnecessary. Sorry to go on a lot but I am desperate for any information or advice that I can get. In addition if anyone knows of any support groups in the UK or any decent books about this illness I would be grateful.Paul
