There is currently a study underway at the NIH (National Institute of Health) in Bethesda, Maryland, to bring a CAH child's height to a more "normal" plot. The regime consists of reducing the amount of hydrocortisone given to the child, and including two other medications. Our 4-year-old CAH daughter could have been a candidate, but we declined. This protocol has been going on for a few years, I believe, with some success. So...YES...there is definitely research being done. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
