I have two questions regarding sleep and wonder if any of you have experienced anything similar. I have had a very difficult time getting my 10 mo. old to sleep to a reasonable hour. When I was giving him his last dose of Cortef at 9:00 pm he was waking up, completely ready for the day, at 3:00 am. Lately I have been giving him his last dose at 10:00 pm and he wakes up between 4:00 and 4:30 am. From having friends with other young ones, I know sleep issues are common, but I am wondering if there is a connection with CAH. I have read some articles (not CAH related) that have mentioned a connection between Cortisol and sleep cycles. I hate to do anything to encourage him to sleep later (e.g. Ferberize, or let him cry) if it is physically too difficult for him to sleep due to hormone levels. On the other hand, I am not a morning person and this is killing me. My second question has to do with feeding/drinking near the last dose of the day. My son takes Cortef, which says it is to be taken with milk or food. When I give his medicine during the day I can tell he gets an upset stomach if he has an empty stomach. His last milk/formula is at 7:30-8:00 pm and his medicine is at 10:00pm. I am wondering what others do. Do you give your child some milk with their medicine? Or, is a few hours close enought to be considered "taken with food"? Thank you in advanceChris
