LUPRON
5/4/99 6:13 PM
To those of you who had questions regarding the use of Lupron. I am an accountant with a company that owns Nursing homes. Lupron sounded familiar to me so I did some research. It is currently used on our Nursing Home residents with Prostrate Cancer. I then went to www.dogpile.com. This is a multi search engine sight that will pretty much find everything you ever wanted to know about anything. I typed in "LUPRON" and then clicked on "FETCH". I am not offering any suggestion/opinions on this subject but strongly recomend that you look into this before agreeing to any such treatment. They have actually started a petition to the FDA regarding long term effects after stopping the drug. It generally reduces the production of testosterone (which I thought is what the meds already do that we are giving our kids). As far as inhibbiting growth, The results seem to vary. Let me know what you think/hear as 7 years from now I'll be in your shoes (Hopefully things will get better??!!)HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
