Hi Donna, we are glad to have you on the board! We have also been pretty lucky as far as illness. We had the IPV polio vaccine the first two doses, then the OPVon the last two. My pediatrician would have liked to see us do all OPV, but, I feel comfortable with how we did it. Both my boys take their meds twice a day and that seems fine for us. I think it depends on the child. We had a 24hr 17OHP at the National Institutes of Health, but that was only to see if my son was a candidate for the research they are doing (we opted not to do the testing for family reasons). I would also like to stress the importance of being comfortable with your endo and pediatrition! If you have questions don't hesitate to ask, and please don't think your questions are dumb or silly! It is more important to ask. I used to take the stopper out of the syringe, put the Florinef in, put the stopper back in, draw about 1ml into the syringe and let the pill disolve (which doesn't take long) then I would put the syringe in the side of his mouth while nursing and slowly sqeeze the liquid into his mouth while he sucked. This also works well with bottles and when you need to give sodium chloride. Sorry for the long message! :) Again welcome and I hope you find us helpful. Good luck.
