I had posted down below about my daughter who has clitoral enlargement, misplaced urethra, but passed the blood work that the endo ran on her at about 15 months. She never did the cortisol test in the hospital, just dismissed her as not having CAH because the blood work drawn in the office was normal. We're going back because she is complaining all the time about genital pain, I am presuming from the clitoral enlargement. Should I push for further testing or does she definitely not have CAH if the initial screening blood work was normal. It seems like somebody said that they didn't find the abnormality in their child until the cortisol test was done. If she does have it she obviously does not have the salt-wasting kind. If they suggest some sort of surgery to reduce the clitoris, is that a wise thing to do. I've read some things that make it sound like that is a maiming type surgery but then again I think I may have been reading some sort of propaganda from some hermaphrodite organization. Any suggestions?Rose
