I was reading a post yesterday about the specifics of drawing CAH patient's blood levels. First,could someone educate me as to what all these kids need to have drawn. I am aware you should have the 17-OHP, plasma renin, and electrolytes, but I also read some of your children have testoterone levels done. Is there anything else they do? My Endo has never mentioned this and I have not read anything. Could somone direct me to readings about this or write me! I also read that there are specifics about when blood should be drawn and whether the patient is fasting or not. Are these things my ENDO has neglected to tell us or maybe he does not know? I would appreciate any responses. We just had our 6 month old's levels re-drawn 6 weeks after increasing his Cortef Suspension to 2 ml every 8 hours. Thanks, Michele
