Hi! I'll start out by answering as a mother of all of the above problems. My first child was born 5/30/94. My second was born 5/3/95 (8 weeks months early). My daughter, 15 1/2 months old, is the only one with CAH. Speaking just of a Preemie, they ARE very needy babies. Don't let them convince you that there is an "adjusted age" for Preemies. They say that it takes at least 3 years for them to catch up. I now (for another 13 days!) have two 4 year olds. They are as different as night and day. The preemie is the biggest challenge in my life. I have a hard time getting him to listen, and he pretty much "shruggs off" any attempt of discipline. He goes for his annual in two weeks and I'm going to see if they'll test him for "something". The endo seems comfortable that neither one of the boys have CAH but he has not done any "official" testing. From what I've heard, all children are born with their own unique personality. I don't know if your nephew's mom is or has done this but they do seem to react very positively to "kangaroo care" as well as massage therapy (given by the parents.) We were instructed on how to do this prior to leaving NICU. (where we lived for 29 days!) If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me :) (Been there, done that........) Best of Luck and God Bless You!Bonnie
