My son has only had an acute crisis when he was diagnosed at 2 weeks old. Since then he is just sleepy the first day of an illness (we've had 9 ear infections so far!)but recovers really quickly. He had a febrile convulsion just after his MMR, but had a hydrocortisone injection at the hospital and didn't seem to have any kind of crisis. It won't be too bad - honest!
