1)The effects for MOM are miserable: major weight gain, because you eat everything in sight; more chance of toxemia and gestational diabetes; fluid retention. Although all this goes away after you go off the dex (I had CVS, no CAH). 2) As far as I learned, there are no side effects on the baby. (My baby hasn't been born yet, due August 16)
