Hi Danielle, yes Cortef is hydrocortisone. I sure wish our pills were smaller! I used to give my son his sodium chloride by syringe in the side of his mouth while he was nursing, it works well with a bottle also! I also have a pill splitter that works well with cutting my kids' Florinef and Floride. Best of luck. Michelle
