Just to send some optimism your way. My daughter has just turned four. She was diagnosed with Cah shortly after birth due to ambiguous genitalia. She is a salt waster. She was operated on at 7 weeks old. We have been very blessed as she has had excellent health. She has had mild stomach viruses, some fevers, colds, hives, etc., but thank God never anything serious enough to cause adrenal failure. We are prepared and know that she could become sick at any time. This could also be the case with your child. I hope so. P.S. I did give her triple doses of cortef when she was sick.
