I have a 3 year old who had the vaginoplasty, clitoral reduction and re-reouting of the urethra at 3 months of age. We have been working for some time trying to get her potty trained. The problem we are experiencing is that it is almost as if she does not sense she has to urinate until it is coming out. She has gotten bowel movements down with no problems. We have to remind her every half of an hour to use the potty, other wise she has an accident. She gets very frustrated when she "goes in her panties", so I think it is not one of the rebellious potty issues. We have also been concerned with the frequency of her urination. We were just wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of problem with their daughter who has had this surgery. Thank you for your input!
