Hi, Jill! I began giving my son the tablets when he was 4 weeks old. I remember having to break it in several pieces (he was taking 1/3 of a 1/2 pill). I would dissolve it in liquid and use a syringe. This proved to be ineffective as I had to start giving him the injections every three days since we couldn't get his levels right. He started taking the pills again when he was seven months old. We had some difficult moments of him not wanting to take the pill; however, he began taking his pill regularly without difficulty when he was about 2 1/2 years old. He is now almost 5 years old and still chews both his Cortef and Florinef pills. Good luck!
