I think Danny Carlton was a bit too harsh in his response to you. You shouldn't view the shot as a bad thing, it is a help to our children. On the other hand, I admire you for not running right to the hospital. We don't want to make our children afraid of being sick, and we don't want our non-CAH children to think it is terrible when their siblings get sick. Giving the shot when they are experiencing vomiting and can't keep oral meds down is necessary.
