We had our first visit with our new endo today. My 3 year old is sometimes hesitant about new doctors and new situations so I prepared her as much as I could this morning before the appointment. When we got there, the doctor introduced himself and asked her general info (name, age, etc). She said "Hi, I'm Abby and I'm 3. I have adrenal hyperplasia and I would like to be an endocrinologist." She forgot the congenital- but I thought pretty good job for a 3 year old! Can you believe how adorable kids are and how much they are paying attention to us!!!!! She sailed through the visit like a pro, and so did her 16 month old sister. Glad to report they are both thriving and only needed a slight adjustment to their meds. The endo told me there was a study done that showed that CAH kids tend to have higher IQ's and they are better in "spacial matters" and "mathematics". Just wanted to brag about my little munchkin and pass on something interesting. Hope everyone is doing well! ToniaTonia
