My daughter, at 5 and still now at 7, has about 15 dark strands (I told her they would fall out, but they never did). This is what allerted me to the condition. She hasn't gotten any more since being on the cortef though. After talking with mothers of other young children (about age 7-8), early pubic hair is not unusual.
