Alynn.. Yes! I've had this for over four weeks now. I've been to my regular doctor three times. The first time I went, I thought I might have allergies because I was experiencing all those allergy-like symptoms. I had no idea I had a fever. She looked in my throat and said, "yup, you've definately got a nice case of step-two strep". She took a culture, put me on penicullin and sent me home..told me I didn't have allergies. When the culture came back, it turned out that I didn't have strep. I had now had the weekend to monitor my temp, and it was doing exactly what you explained.. jumping all around. Within an hour it was going from way low (at times, 96.5) to a low-grade fever (100.00 was the highest). I returned to my doctor because I was definately not getting any better. She thought I might have mono, so she ordered that test. I didn't have mono either. Another week went by, and I went back in and she ordered the mono test again, it came back negative. Primarily, I've just simply been staying in bed and sleeping a lot. My allergy-like symptoms have gotten so much better, but I'm still really tired and I know that my body is continuing to fight something. What other symptoms do you have? Let me know what your doctor says. (by the way, my endo said that he thought it was allergies combined with some kind of viral infection) as for the double-dosing.. i didn't.
