Went to the doctor today and told him what was going on. He looked in my ears, and said nothing, he then looked in my throat, and gasped. His exact words were, "I don't think I've seen tonsils that bad in a while!" He said that he couldn't see why I wasn't in more pain than I was showing. He immediatly sent me to the in-house lab for a rapid strep test... it came back negative. He brought me back in the room, and told me to call in the morning to check if there was any change (he did an over-night culture also), and if still no change, to call Wednesday to see if anything had shown up. He said, that if nothing showed up by Wednesday, then he would just have to rule it a virus. Normally I wouldn't be so concerned, but it hurts to even swallow liquid!!! My mother was telling me that when she showed symptoms like that (when I was a baby), and it turned out to be mono. I kind of hope that it is strep, just so I don't suffer like Heather, not knowing what she has, and no way to cure it! Good Health to all! AlynnAlynn
