Heather, Well, it's not strep, but my doctor wanted to see me back in today. I went at 10:30 and came out at noon finally able to say I knew what was wrong with me... it's mono! My social life as I know it is shot! The doctor said to not return to work until the fever went away, and that I could converse with people, but no kissing allowed (my boyfriend will love that). He also said that I was to do NO physical activities until he released me from his care. He said that when you have mono, your splean is enlarged and fragile, and if I were to hit it and rupture it, we would have a bigger problem on our hands. I am suppose to go back weekly for a CBC to make sure everything is going okay. On the other hand, I do hope that you get to feeling better, and that you and your doctor finally figure out what you have! Take care and thank you for all of your concern and help!
