I forgot to mention that my husband has never taken an emergency decadron injection and in fact only recently bought one to keep in the house. In a weird coincidence, we moved (2 1/2 yrs ago) next door to a family with two CAH (non salt losing) boys. One time they had a stomach virus and Mom came to us to see if we had an injection. We didn't, so we decided that between the three of them, someone ought to have an injection handy just in case. Another thing -- regarding the slew of comments about alcohol and CAH (which I have not read all of), he has never been told to abstain. And he has not. Abstained, that is. He has downed his share of beer and other spirits and even gotten sick more than once (oh, those college days). No problems at all, unless you count the hangovers. ;-0
