looking for help

Hello, My name is Jodi Conti, I have a son, who just turned 8yrs with autism and seizure disorder. We are currently trying to determine why he is in puberty. We have tested for a pituitary causal factor, thyroid and various other usual reasons for puberty. Thus far, we have not found anything to support why he is in puberty. He has basically normal lab testing on everything except a slightly low TSH for thyroid and a normal range low for T3(like his mom). Tomorrow we will be testing 17 hydroxyprogesterone to determine if he has a milder form of CAH. He has a bone growth age of 13, weighs 126 lb, gaining up to 4 lb a month, salt cravings to the point we must hide the shaker, moonshaped face, low muscle tone, low energy, pubic hair, increased genital size, and other precocious puberty signs. I am looking to a support group to help me locate some possiblities. Since he was stolen from me by autism at the age of two, every answer to every question has been "we don't know". It effects so some many different parts of his body from his brain to digestive and now the endocrine system. I have learned over the years that sometimes the best clues come from people who actually live with a disorder. It is my hope that maybe someone on this board might be able to give me a clue where else to look. I am trying to learn about the endocrine system but frankly it is more difficult that the brain. There are many researchers that believe that the endocrine system plays a role in the onset of today's autism. Thanks you, Jodi Greg's mom, who'll never stop searching for the answers.
