Michael, you are not alone. Cindy's response put it well. It IS overwhelming now, but we are fortunate to live in a time where this disease is completely manageable. Our daughter is almost 5 yrs old....but wasn't diagnosed until last year. CAH is part of the Newborn Screening in about 15 states in the US. Where we live is NOT one of them. Get hooked up with a good pediatric endocrinologist (let the message board know which area you live in and maybe you'll get some recommendations), and take it one day at a time. We're here for you.
