Michael, We too have a daughter with CAH, and we felt the same as you at first. We have 3 sons, and she is our only girl, so in a way, we had big plans for her. Please know that your daughter can lead a fairly normal life, the only real difference will be that she has to take medication to survive. That's how we look at it. There are some diabetics that must take insulin everyday to survive. In today's day, it is not such a terrible disorder, since it is manageable. Just know that there are a lot of children out there with lukemia and cancer and many other terrible diseases that children should never have to deal with, and I guess in that respect our children are lucky. God Bless.
