I heard a report on the Today show this morning on NBC about the rotashield vaccine for rotovirus. The Center for Disease Control, CDC, urged parents to stop getting the vaccine for young children until November. More studies need to be done, because there MAY be a link betwen the vaccine and some kind of bowel obstruction in children. They are doing more research, but they suggested that the possibility was strong enough for concern and until the findings of current studies are available in November, they said to hold off on the vaccine. I was about to get this vaccine for my kids so if anyone out there has more info, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
