Dear Michael Congratulations on the arrival of your precious gift, Abby Michelle. My husband Mark and I have a 5 month old daughter, Grace, diagnosed with CAH at birth. We prefer to look at it as a condition rather than a disease. Initially I had the feeling "why me", but I think the biggest help to me was being in hospitals and seeing other children with far more substantial medical conditions affecting their muscles and brains, and now I am thankful that Grace has a condition that is very treatable and she will be able to lead a very full and happy life. We have also heard that CAH children grow up to be very intelligent through their dealings with their condition and medical professionals.
