Jim, As far as I am aware the clitoris won't decrease in size once Hope is taking cortisone, but it won't get worse. She'll be fine, Christopher has a severe form of CAH but he is a lovely, happy, cheerful chap into everything. He manages fine, even when ill. To clarify something said in another message, carriers who marry another carrier have a 1 in 4 chance of an affected baby, Hope will have a 1 in 2 chance if she marries a carrier as she actually has CAH. We live in the UK and have some really good doctors. Don't blame yourself for not noticing anything, Christopher lost so much weight before he was diagnosed and we were told this was normal! Children vary so much it's difficult to spot these things without the blood tests. Good luck and I'm sure Hope will manage fine (I think it's tougher on the parents at this stage!). Sallyann
