Does anyone have any information (or know where I can get information) on CAH and its relation to depression? My girlfriend has classical CAH. She was actually a boy on her birth certificate when she was born due to her enlarged clitoris. Now she has no clitoris at all because they simply removed it when CAH was diagnosed. This was over forty years ago so hopefully things have changed. Anyway, she takes Medrol everyday for the CAH. She also suffers from depression and since some of the same enzymes that are produced by the adrenals are also effected by depression medications we were wondering if any research in this area has been done. She has a hard time talking about this, as no one in her family has ever spoken to her about it. She actually found out from her doctor when she was going off to college at 17. If anyone has any information please let me know, I'm trying to learn all I can. Thanks! Kelly
