Well put, everyone. Nichole, I definitely think it IS possible for a child to inherit some "hidden" tall-gene from generations past. I have a 3.5 yr old NON-CAH son who has evidently inherited a hidden-tall-gene from my husband's grandfather (time will tell for sure, but he is WAY taller than any of our other kids were at his age). The best & most important thing to have done is a Bone age X-ray of your sons wrists & hands. It is really simple & totally painless, it is just a normal X-ray, then a specialist reads the bone age by measuring the length of certain bones in the X-ray. You would want the results to be very close to slightly less than your child's actual age.Deb
