Hello Selena, welcome to our world. I'm sure you'll learn alot here, I have a 14.5 yr old CAH son, & I'm still learning!! My guess as to your son's hyper-activity is probably just his personality, unless it is obvious that he has changed since he was put on the Cortef, in which case he may just need some time for his body to get used to feeling "normal" because it was probably used to feeling lethargic. When my son's meds were increased this last time, it was a big increase, and he felt like he couldn't sit still, but only a couple of weeks, until his body adjusted. Oh, the questions kids ask....you'll get used to answering "why couldn't they keep the blood they took LAST time?" with simple answers like, "because the doctors need to know how your blood is TODAY." and a whole bunch more you never even thought of!! I was always straight-forward with my son about his condition (CAH) and anything else that came along. It is good to hear that he has a Pediatric Endo. Am I correct in figuring that your son is just under 4 yrs old? If so, a bone age of 7 yrs is quite a big difference, I would be VERY concerned about him not growing to his potential.
