That is just it. We have an endo, although we don't like him and we are going to see another one, Our endo says our son is being managed well. Our pediatrician seems to be the one thinking our son is tall or will be tall, and he has nothing to do with prescribing or underprescribing Cortef. He just handles the normal stuff, although he conferences with us and the endo from time to time. We are going to get a bone x-ray this month. My son had one done when he was 12 months old, and it was in the 9-12 month range which his endo at the time, a different endo, was very happy with. We were originally told to have one done every year, but with our new endo, he doesn't think that is neccessary and we do. We have been trying to get a prescription for one for 2 years now, but the endos in this area are more concerned about exposure to radiation. Believe me when I tell you it seems like a constant fight with the endos in this town, and I am not happy about that. We will travel to D.C., Pennsylvania, Virginia if we have to. My son's care should not have to be a fight. Why can't we get one constant method of treatment? X-rays every year or not? Blood work every 3 months or 6? What is right? I would rather stick my kids for blood every 3 months to make sure they are on track. Thanks for the input.Nicole
