Nicole, My son is 4.5 with salt-wasting CAH. He is seen by his endo every 4 months since birth and has had a bone x-ray done once a year since birth. He has always been within 1-3 months of his actual age. Our endo has always told us that was perfect, that it shouldn't been more than 3 months in either direction of the actual age. I agree that you should be concerned that they won't let you have the x-ray, it's to important. We live in southern New Hampshire and see an endo in Boston. She has been seeing Ryan since he was 4 days old and We just love her. We see her again on 8/6 and I'm curious what his results will show because he has had the most illnesses since his last visit (since he was born). It may be time to increase meds. Nothing has been major but Ryan has never been one to be ill. As for height. Our endo always asks about my 6.5 yr old daughter and where she is on the charts. It helps them to see if they are allowing for his "normal genetic growth pattern to prevail". Ryan has always been 25/25 for both height and weight Caleigh on the other had at 27 months older is even smaller she is only 10/5 for height/weight. Ryan is acutally larger than she is. They also ask frequently about my in-laws and my parents. It makes me feel good that they take the family picture into account. I believe that Ryan will not be very tall as my husband in only 5-10 and is the tallest in the family other than my dad who is 6-1. Ryan has the short legs like the men on my husbands side of the family but is very broad and has large hands just like my dad. Good luck with your search for a new endo.Judy
