I know of a person who was able to get disability benefits for her daughter (but she did say it was a lot of work.) Her daughter was young when she went through the process... probably only about 2 years old or so. I never actually met this person, although I spoke to her on the phone several times. Her name is Eileen Wells and her daughter's name is Amanda. I contacted her through the Magic Foundation when I read her story in one of the earlier editions of Reaching Up (the Magic newsletter for CAH). If you can find a way of contacting her - I think Magic should be able to help you - maybe she can tell you what she had to do in order to get benefits for her daughter. Good luck!
