Newly diagnosed with nonclassic CAH

Our daughter, Renee, was diagnosed a year ago at age 7 after some mild acne on her forehead showed up. Since then her acne has worsened and she has developed some hair on her thighs. Our doctor is now recommending cortisol treatment, because he believes her symptoms will get worse, especially as she enters puberty. We have the following questions about the treatment: -Are there other options for treatment of nonclassic CAH? -If we choose the cortisol treatment, what do you need to tell schools, etc. -How do you monitor your child to see if they're getting an adequate dose? What indicates problems? -What precautions do you take if you go on a trip? -Do sleep-away camps accept kids on this medication? -Although we live in Colorado, we are planning to go to Johns Hopkins University for a second opinion, as we were told this was where the leading edge CAH research was taking place. Any other suggestions for doctors/clinics to contact? Thanks for taking the time to reply.
