I think I once saw that the range for 17OHP was 0-98, but I am not positive if this is correct. At my daughters last endo appointment our endo explained that her 17OHP tends to run high but her androstendione is well in control. He said some Drs. would look at the 17OHP and want to up her meds but that that is not neccessary in her case and could result in overmedicating her. He felt the androstendione was more important to regulate and does not plan on testing her 17OHP everytime. I hope I explained this ok it was a bit confusing at the time.But I think it is important to remeber the whole picute needs to be looked at and not just one lab level.
